Cayman Kai Development Ltd. is the original developer of Cayman Kai, “The Delightful Community By The Sea”. Kai is a Hawaiian term meaning “by the sea”. It was the vision of the Dise family to transform over 400 acres of uninhabited, lush, tropical land into an exclusive upscale subdivision with most of the half-acre parcels of land facing water. Back then there was no water, no road and no electricity outside of George Town.  With a lot of hard work, the land was transformed and subdivided into parcels. The Dise family constructed the first resort in Cayman Kai in 1965 called The Cayman Kai Resort, which accommodated the first visitors and buyers to the area. It was the first official “office” of Cayman Kai Development Ltd. Since then they have also built and sold over 75% of the houses and properties in the community including the condominium complexes of The Island Houses, The Gardens of the Kai, The Sea Lodges and The Pools of the Kai. They have plans to redevelop the old Cayman Kai Resort sight in the near future.

The end result is an absolutely stunning array of private executive residences enjoying the breezy North Coast, charming gingerbread cottages lapping up the waters on a white sand beach, vacation retreats with their own dock on a private canal, and luxury condominium complexes nestled on a secluded cove. With sensible restrictive building covenants in place, they insured the quality and consistency of construction and maintained the quiet beauty of the area. Cayman Kai has been home to discerning families, investors and beach vacationers alike for more than thirty years.
