Mikol Dise

Mikol is the owner and real estate broker of Cayman Kai Development Ltd. He is very actively involved in the sales and purchases of property in Cayman Kai. He is also a builder/developer and he designs and builds new homes in the community. He currently lives on the North Coast of Cayman Kai with his wife, Rebecca. Mikol is originally from Chicago and has lived full time on the Island since 1974. In 1962, his family purchased 400 acres of undeveloped land in what is now called “Cayman Kai”. Back then there was no water, no road and no electricity outside of George Town. With a lot of hard work, the land was transformed and subdivided into parcels. The Dise family constructed the first resort in Cayman Kai in 1965 called The Cayman Kai Resort, which accommodated the first visitors and buyers to the area. It was the first official “office” of Cayman Kai Development Ltd. Since then they have also built and sold over 75% of the houses and properties in the community including the condominium complexes of The Island Houses, The Gardens of the Kai, The Sea Lodges and The Pools of the Kai. Mikol has plans to redevelop the old Cayman Kai Resort sight in the near future. Mikol has spent many years developing Cayman Kai into what it is today… “The Delightful Community by the Sea”, “Where the Good Life is…”. He has been building custom homes and selling real estate since he was 19 years old and he is extremely proud of the legacy he has helped to create with his family here on Grand Cayman. His knowledge and expertise when it comes to Cayman Kai property has proven to be a very valuable asset to any buyer or seller interested in the Cayman Kai/Rum Point area.

Michele McGuire

Michele is originally from western Canada and has an exceptional sales background. After spending 3 years in University studying in the faculty of commerce with aspirations of becoming a chartered accountant, she left her curriculum to help her former husband achieve his goal of becoming a professional hockey player. She was always an executive member of the hockey wives’ charity associations, where she helped to create and organize many fund raising events, raising thousands of dollars for needy charities. Her experience working in the public forum, utilizing radio, television and print mediums, have definitely helped her develop a keen sense of marketing and people skills. Michele became a realtor in 1989, initially working with Royal LePage, and then Re/Max. She worked in residential real estate and helped many of her teammates with the purchases and sales of their executive homes and condominiums. Land developers approached her to help market the pre-construction sales of several condominium projects in Edmonton, Alberta and Kelowna, British Columbia. From the official groundbreaking, to paint colors and window coverings, she guided her customers through an often long and enduring process until the final completion and occupancy of their new homes.

Michele moved to Grand Cayman in 1999, looking to take a year or two working at a more relaxed pace. Ronnie and Bunny Foster hired her to work at Kaibo Yacht Club when it opened in March. They encouraged her to write her CIREBA agent exam in July of 1999 and she eventually started working for Foster Realty Ltd. at their office at Kaibo. Michele was involved with marketing and sales of the Kaibo Condos Phase I and II and focused on real estate property transactions in Cayman Kai and North Side. Her outgoing and friendly personality, her dedication to her clients, her knowledge and expertise in the real estate industry, and her creativity and attention to detail have all resulted in a successful career.

Michele met and married her husband, Ray, here on Grand Cayman. He was then the General Manager and Executive Chef at the Northside Surf Inn and Red Ginger Restaurant (The Old Villa Caribe). Ray is originally from Toronto and is currently working as the Executive Chef at Hurley’s deli. They have a very happy home here in Cayman Kai.
